Beet hummus

One bunch of fresh beets, scrubbed, trimmed, cubed, steamed and cooled.

1 15 oz can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/2 cup tahini

juice and zest of 1 lemon

2 tbsp minced garlic

salt to taste

Combine all ingredients in food processor and blend until smooth. Chill and serve as a dip or a spread.
